A year of delicate whiskers, luminescent eyes, wonderfully plush fur. A fluffy marmalade snoozing in a basket of yarn. An elegant black cat in an equally elegant room. An exotic, green-eyed Bengal. A calico in an apple tree. And a Siamese on a windowsill, soaking up the sun. The calendar that captures the essence of feline beauty and mystique, Cat mesmerizes with hundreds of exquisitely composed photographs in color and black and white. Every day’s portrait is richly detailed and filled with its subject’s personality, spirit, and attitude. Each cat is more endearing than the last.

"I have been getting the Cat Gallery calendars since 2002. I have enjoyed the company of two cats and love their attitude and antics. Just when I think they are too independent, one will drop into my lap and cuddle.
So I keep a Cat Gallery calendar at work to keep me company there too. Every day a different page, with only weekends combined and I am not there to see weekends anyway (I sometimes leave the weekend up for part of Monday. It doesn't work; I still know it's Monday.) The photography is cute, beautiful, seasonal, and always colorful. Each day has a short description or quote (which often finds its way to Facebook).
My one dislike is that the photographer and/or description writer does not always know what they are portraying in the picture. If you know cats and cat body language, the cat described as "bold" is more likely startled by something done by the photographer or handler at the time of the shoot. At least once a week I mildly to moderately interpret it differently.
My basic cubicle has a large island calendar to give me an outside view of the world and a daily cat calendar to remind me of home and an occasional cat cuddle. Beautiful. Life is good."

- My wife and I have been purchasing the Workman Page-A-Day Gallery calendars since 2005. Mostly we go with the Cat Calendar (since we're cat owners), but we sometimes pick a 2nd version to use for another room. Among the Workman product line, the "Islands" one is typically the most consistently beautiful. I would assume that dog lovers and horse lovers and bird lovers would be as pleased with those versions as we are with Workman's cat version.
In the past we've had tear-off page-a-day calendars from other companies. These tend to be one-use, discard as you go along products. The Workman Gallery ones are much superior -- If you're not familiar, they come in a clear plastic holder, each day is a separate detached sheet, at each new day you pull out the previous page, move it to the back, and view the new one. Halfway through the year you turn around the whole group and keep going.
I'm a photographer and graphic designer, so I'm attuned to good printing work. The images are sharp, the colors vibrant, and the paper stock is good. Pretty much all of the images are beautiful.
We've saved all our old Workman calendars and try to reuse them when the day/date cycle repeats (4 times each 28 years, although leap years make that strategy slightly more complicated). If they're handled gently the first time around, they'll look completely new the next time.
And we now have a 2-year-old who adore the ritual of the daily page change.
Purchasing advise The calendars tend to be available for pre-order around May of the prior year and finally ship out in August. Pre-order it as soon as it becomes available and you may benefit from 's "Price Guarantee". I've seen the price drop to as low as 60% of retail during the time between May and August and if it's in your cart you'll be charged the lowest amount that it drops to during those months. By the way, often the best bargain has been during the week just before official release. If it doesn't drop at all before August, move it back to your Cart before it ships, then keep an eye out for any bargains between August and December.
And if you've seen our review in previous year's calendars, it's because we're as happy with each new iteration as we were the one from the year before! - I have been getting the Cat Gallery calendars since 2002. I have enjoyed the company of two cats and love their attitude and antics. Just when I think they are too independent, one will drop into my lap and cuddle.

My basic cubicle has a large island calendar to give me an outside view of the world and a daily cat calendar to remind me of home and an occasional cat cuddle. Beautiful. Life is good. - We've only gotten this calendar for one year, but have enjoyed it and will be re-ordering for 2012. Our hope is that there won't be any/many repeats of photos. The photos, which are, for the most part quite good, and printed nicely on very heavy paper . Occasionally there's a photo that looks like a too-arranged studio piece, but there are only a few of those. Some of the photos are arresting, and often, the photographer has captured something of the mind, intent, mood, or soul of its cat subject. And face it, if you love cats, you almost always wish you could have more. This calendar allows you to have a new cat every day (Weekends get only one cat.) The calendar, as a whole, captures the domestic cat in its infinite variety. The plastic holder is substantial and simple, and displays the photos well. Our only complaint is that if you know very much at all about cats, you'll be put off by the captions which seem to have been written by someone who doesn't know much about cats. Almost immediately, we decided not to read them because they were irritatingly irrelevant. Workman, please, either don't use captions in the 2013 calendar, or get someone to write them who knows something about cats--their body language and expressions. Seriously. The captions aren't worthy of the photos--or the cats. Don't anyone be discouraged from buying this calendar because of the flimsy captions. They're easy to ignore because they're small print, and tucked into an upper corner. If you love cats, this is a really fun, beautiful, quality calendar.
- Everyone loves this calendar - bought for my 92-year-old mom who only since moving in with me and my critters has become something of a cat person. She loves, loves, loves this calendar. She's had a couple of hospital/rehab stays, and we always take this calendar with us. Cheers her, the room, the nurses, etc. And the photography is wonderful - high quality photos, printing. Can't believe the variety of kitties, how superbly their expressions and attitudes are captured in the images. And all for $10 - amazing. (I actually paid less last year because I think we bought it in Feb.) We look forward every day to discovering the next picture. Best $10 purchase we made all year - buy it, you'll love it, even if you're not a cat fanatic. It's a happy maker.
- I love this calendar. Every day another high-quality photograph (not a snapshot) of a cat - kitten, mature, inside, outside, romping, sleeping. About the only thing you don't see are the highly posed "studio" cats, and that's just perfect with me. Over the years I've given these calendars to my wife, my mom and several of my cat-loving friends. So far, nobody has returned the favor - but that's OK, as I see each day's photo at work and at home. These will be part of my Christmas gift-giving next year - sorry, THIS year.
